Microbiological Sampling

Water Sampling carried out for Microbiological Analysis by UKAS registered laboratories including Legionella testing, TVC, e.Coli, Coliform bacteria’s.

We come to your site using our UKAS laboratory approved sample bottles and advise on an appropriate water sampling plan following a survey of the water system(s) to be sampled. The sampling plan will be produced depending on the size and type of water system involved, for example: Identify if water storage tanks or hot water heaters/calorifiers are present, the number of hot and cold-water outlets and the frequency of use, identify if there are any high risk areas present on the system such as any little used outlets, showers or spray heads. It is also important to monitor and record the water outlet temperatures as outlet temperatures between 20 and 45 degrees centigrade will favour the growth of Legionella. A suitable Legionella Risk Assessment should be available for the control of legionella in hot and cold-water systems in buildings to include a simple schematic drawing of the water system to help identify any high risk areas. Aqua Services UK can carry out Legionella Risk Assessments if required. On completion of analysis, reports are provided with results of all tests carried out and we will advise and recommend if any remedial actions are necessary.

As part of our Legionella Association Membership, all our work has to meet or exceed the standards set out within our registration assuring our customers requirements remain compliant with current ACOPL8 regulations and guidelines.
